No matter what type of beehive you own, you will be required on occasions, to open the hive and undergo an inspection of the frames in either the brood box or honey super to check colony health.

To ensure you have the very best in sting prevention, you will need to wear a sting preventative beekeeping suit or jacket for these routine inspections, with most importantly, beekeeping gloves – you will not want to put your unprotected hands inside an active beehive!

These Flow Bee Suit Gloves are made from premium quality super-soft goatskin with mesh around the wrist that allows airflow, and unbleached, GOTS certified organic cotton gators which are elasticised at the elbow to prevent unwelcome visitors from entering your suit.

Practical and comfortable to wear, the pliable goatskin makes gripping objects much easier.

These exceptional gloves are the same high quality that we supply with all adult bee suits and jackets (Organic Cotton Suit, and Mesh Jacket).

Safety & Care

Beekeeping is a labour of love. As with all animal husbandry, it’s a pastime that requires knowledge, skill and dedication and which carries with it inherent risks. Sooner or later, all beekeepers get stung. Some people have severe allergies to bee stings, so please be aware of the potential hazards when considering whether beekeeping is right for you.

Check out this Flow-sponsored safety pamphlet covering common beekeeping safety risks and first aid responses.
